6th Ring Gencon Announcement

Hello L5Rers!

My name is Simon Copp and I am a member of the 6th Ring stream team. The 6th Ring was created in 2012 by Frank Kallal and Josh Kolb to engage the wider community by broadcasting events they were running or attending. Over time the team has grown to incorporate Mel Bowers, Donovan “Sparks” Burger and myself.

In October 2013 we ran a Kickstarter to upgrade some equipment and acquire a new computer and cameras. We raised $6,855 which was way over our goal of $3,500 and we would like to thank the community and AEG for all their help again. The money and the growth of the team has increased the amount of tournaments we’ve been able to attend or send our equipment to.

Our coverage is predominately of U.S tournaments but we have also been able to show a Dublin kotei and last year’s world championship from Sheffield, England due to the great work of the organisers. We are always open to T.Os using our channels to stream their events. If you would be interested in doing so please message us our Facebook page (More details at the end).

For Gencon we’re also joined by Brad Reeves, the editor of this very site who will be lending his assistance both on and off camera over the course of the convention. The rest of the team will be in the booth at various points during the weekend and we shall also be pulling in guest commentators and doing interviews with important figures in the L5R world.

We will also be posting updates, photos and videos to our social media accounts too and we’d like you to be a part of the conversation by using #l5rgencon on your tweets.

It brings me great pleasure to be able to announce the schedule for our video coverage of Gencon. Please note that times and events are subject to change. All times are ET.
